Matthews Road prezentuje wszystkie klasyczne cechy odmianowe typowego australijskiego Shiraz. Owoce były zbierane z dwóch parceli, umiejscowionych w różnych terroir (chłodniejszym i bardzo ciepłym) dzięki czemu otrzymaliśmy piękną i bogatą kompozycję. Dojrzewało dwanaście miesięcy w beczkach z amerykańskiego i francuskiego dębu (nowe i wcześniej używane). W bukiecie odnajdujemy urzekające aromaty jeżyn, borówek i białego pieprzu, wspierane na podniebieniu przez akcenty pikantnych przypraw i ciemnych owoców jagodowych. Miękki finisz z gładkimi taninami i satynową strukturą.
