Ostoya is a premium-class Polish wheat vodka, produced by Wyborowa Pernod Ricard from wheat grown in the Bieszczady Mountains. This set configuration includes a 0.7 l bottle at 40% ABV along with two shot glasses.
The brand was created as the first fully wheat-based vodka in Wyborowa's portfolio. It is the first one-hundred-percent wheat vodka from Wyborowa, and the project was worked on for a year. The product was developed over nearly two years. The raw material is wheat cultivated in the Bieszczady Mountains, and the spirit is produced at the Wyborowa Pernod Ricard plant in Zielona Góra.
The technological process spans several locations. The spirit is rectified in Janikowo and distilled at two agricultural distilleries. Ostoya is a vodka with velvety sweetness and an exceptionally mild taste, with a pleasantly warming finish achieved thanks to the Bieszczady wheat. Its aroma and flavour profile is described as featuring grainy notes along with accents of vanilla and almonds. The vodka has an oily, creamy texture, without any perceptible spirituous sharpness, and a long, milky finish.
Ostoya carries a protected geographical indication. The brand uses the Polska Wódka (Polish Vodka) Protected Geographical Indication, which guarantees the Polish origin of the ingredients, domestic production and traditional quality. To bring out its profile in full, it is best served chilled in a small shot glass – the two glasses included in the set match this way of tasting. The vodka also works well as a cocktail base, where it does not overpower the other ingredients.
