Jim Beam Peach is a peach liqueur based on Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, produced at the distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. Here the brand takes the opposite approach to typical flavoured whiskeys: instead of flavouring the bourbon itself with peach, it blends peach liqueur with Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon, so that the fruit leads while the bourbon provides structure underneath.

The base is Beam's flagship bourbon. The distillery, now owned by Suntory Global Spirits, makes its flagship bourbon from a traditional mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The bottled product comes in at 32.5% ABV (65 proof) – lower than the full-strength bourbon.

The fruit leads the profile. On the nose, fresh, ripe peach dominates immediately, supported by gentle oak and warm vanilla, while the bourbon's influence remains restrained, allowing the fruit to step to the fore. On the palate, sweet, juicy peach appears on the entry and carries through the mid-palate, after which the bourbon's woody notes gradually emerge, joined by soft caramel and a trace of grainy sweetness. The finish is marked by soft, lingering peach with a hint of sweetness.

At 65 proof the texture is light and mellow – noticeably more delicate than in a full-strength bourbon. It's a profile that works well both neat and in cocktails. The pronounced peach sweetness and moderate 32.5% ABV make it a cocktail ingredient, especially for highballs, lemonade-based drinks and mules, where the priority is the fruit flavour rather than the intensity of the bourbon.
