Sierra 100% Agave Tequila Reposado is a Mexican reposado-category tequila from Guadalajara in the state of Jalisco, made from 100% blue agave. The 0.7 l bottle is bottled at 35% ABV. The spirit belongs to the new Sierra 100% Agave line, which the brand introduced in 2026 alongside the blanco and añejo versions.
Production is handled by Destilerías Sierra Unidas in Guadalajara, and the brand remains the property of the Stock Spirits group. Sierra Tequila has created the 100% agave line, which debuts in three expressions: blanco, reposado and añejo. Blanco and reposado are bottled at 35% ABV, while añejo comes in at 40%. The raw material is a single species of agave. Each expression is made from Blue Weber agave, cultivated for up to seven years before harvest.
The process is based on traditional craftsmanship and gentle double distillation, followed by maturation in wood. The tequila rests in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. It is this stage that is responsible for the amber colour and the layer of warm spice notes, built on a core of roasted agave.
In the aroma and flavour profile, roasted agave takes centre stage, with the influence of the barrel appearing only behind it. On the nose there is roasted agave, elegant oak notes, followed by vanilla, warm spices and herbal undertones. The reposado brings additional depth with vanilla-laced oak as well as layered cinnamon and nutmeg. The structure remains round, and the finish combines the freshness of agave with warm spiciness.
The new line breaks with the iconic sombrero-shaped cap. Bottles from the 100% Agave series do not feature the characteristic sombrero-shaped stoppers, and the new design is inspired by traditional Mexican tequila bottles. The spirit works well neat, as well as a base for classic cocktails such as the Margarita or the Paloma.
