Polowaca Cytrynówka Góralska is a Polish lemon liqueur from the Polowaca range produced by Toorank Polska, bottled in a 0.5-litre format at 30% ABV. The producer classifies it as a liqueur with a sweet-lemon profile.
It is made as a traditional liqueur, crafted for generations from lemon juice and a composition of natural extracts of lemon peel, in an amount corresponding to a minimum of 40 g of lemons per 1 litre of liqueur. The spirit base comes from Polish grain alcohol – in the Polowaca line the producer uses five-times distilled grain alcohol. Carefully selected proportions of the ingredients shape its taste.
Citrus fruit dominates the sensory profile. The producer describes the taste and aroma as sweet and lemony. The lemon acidity balances the sweetness of the liqueur, building a distinct, clean character. Due to the use of natural components, a natural sediment may form – a typical feature of products made without artificial stabilisers.
The Polowaca brand belongs to the Toorank Polska portfolio. The company's own products, created in Jasienica, include, among others, Miodula Prezydencka, Staropolska, a line of nalewkas recreating traditional Polish flavours, and fruit distillates. Toorank Polska S.A. has been operating on the Polish market since 1996 and is engaged in the production of high-quality products.
The liqueur is best served chilled. It also pairs well with ice and works as an ingredient in simple mixed drinks.
