Perlé 2025 is a white, lightly sparkling wine from the Turnau Vineyard in Baniewice in West Pomerania, based on the Seyval blanc grape variety. It is a frizzante-style wine – gently pearly, with a low alcohol content of 10.5%, in a semi-dry variant.
The vineyard lies in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, where plantings mainly include Solaris, Pinot noir and Chardonnay, while the remaining varieties are Rondo, Regent, Seyval blanc, Hibernal and Riesling. The venture has family roots dating back to Jerzy Turnau, and among the co-founders is, among others, Grzegorz Turnau. The owners, seeking support from more experienced winemakers, established a collaboration with Frank Faust, a renowned winemaker from the Rhineland.
Characteristic of this wine is the method used to obtain its effervescence. It is a Polish vintage frizzante wine based on the Seyval blanc variety, made by saturating the base wine with carbon dioxide in a pressure tank. This technique allows for the preservation of a light, delicate effervescence and a distinctly fruity character.
In the aromatic profile of Perlé, notes of citrus and fruit appear. In previous vintages, the producer indicated subtle aromas of orange blossom, mango and flowers, and described the taste as juicy and refreshing. The producer himself writes of the latest release that we will find in it plenty of appetizing fruit, a good deal of refreshment and a touch of sweetness.
This is a wine to be drunk young, in the semi-dry variant. The producer recommends it as an aperitif and to accompany seafood and salads.
