Wino jest kompozycją, w zależności od rocznika, ok. 70% Malbec i 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Do produkcji wybierane są tylko najlepsze grona, zbierane ręcznie do małych koszyczków z najlepszej części Barrancas w Mendozie. Finca Pedregal dojrzewa przez 18 miesięcy w dębowych beczkach przy czym Cabernet Sauvignon leżakuje w amerykańskim dębie, a Malbec we francuskim. Następnie gotowe wino dojrzewa ok. roku w butelce. Rezultatem jest wino wybitne, bardzo eleganckie i łączące w sobie najlepsze cechy obu odmian.
