Aronia Berry Liqueur (Nalewka) by Old Polish Vodka is a natural fruit liqueur from Podlasie with an alcohol content of 30%, produced in a family-run manufactory in Lewkowo Stare, within the buffer zone of the Białowieża Forest. Old Polish Vodka is a family-owned, artisanal spirits producer operating since 2007, which in 2014 opened its own production facility in the small village of Lewkowo Stare in Podlasie, in the buffer zone of the Białowieża Forest.

The liqueur is based on aronia (chokeberry) fruit, macerated in accordance with the craft method used at the manufactory. The producer does not use fruit syrups or any flavouring oils, and the production process for its specialty vodkas and liqueurs follows traditional methods: herbs and fruit, purchased from local Podlasie companies, are macerated. This is a product from the line of sweet liqueurs, whose character and flavour result from carefully selected natural ingredients.

After maceration, the liqueur undergoes a period of ageing. This long-aged natural aronia berry liqueur has a pleasant and distinct sweet-and-sour taste with an intense fruity finish. The aronia profile combines fruity sweetness with the tartness and tannic quality characteristic of this berry, mellowed in the finished spirit.

The 0.5-litre bottle at 30% ABV is part of the fruit liqueur range of the Podlasie manufactory, alongside variants made with japonica quince, raspberry, cornelian cherry, cranberry and elderflower. The aronia liqueur is best served at room temperature, on its own or as an accompaniment to desserts.
