The magnificent ten-year-old Dvin brandy is the first masterpiece of the exclusive ArArAt collection, created in 1945 by Markar Sedrakyan, master blender at the Yerevan Brandy Company. Throughout its history, Dvin has received numerous awards, including 13 gold medals at international competitions. The fifty-percent Dvin became the favourite drink of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who first tasted it during his meeting with Stalin and Roosevelt in Yalta. Subsequently, on Stalin's orders, Churchill received a monthly delivery of Dvin brandy. Until the end of his days, the Prime Minister remained a devoted admirer of this legendary Armenian spirit, for Dvin is a drink for true connoisseurs who are able to appreciate the exceptional qualities of a magnificent brandy. In 2011, ArArAt resumed production of its creation in new packaging. A legendary blend named in honour of the legendary medieval capital of Armenia, Dvin is the embodiment of a new, bright and contemporary image.
