Absolut Tabasco is a chilli-flavoured vodka created through a collaboration between the Swedish brand Absolut and the American sauce manufacturer Tabasco. It has 38% ABV and is produced and bottled in Åhus, Sweden. Its launch came at the beginning of 2026 – the product went on sale in the USA and in over 50 markets around the world.

The base is classic Absolut vodka. It is made from three natural ingredients – water from a local deep well, a selected yeast strain and winter wheat grown in the surrounding fields. This vodka is distilled exclusively in the town of Åhus in southern Sweden, using the continuous distillation method introduced by the brand's founder, L.O. Smith, in the 1870s. The spicy note itself comes from Tabasco: the product is created by combining Absolut with a natural essence made from the fermented, aged red pepper mash used to produce TABASCO sauce. Tabasco sauce, made since 1868 on Avery Island in Louisiana, is based on three ingredients: hand-picked red peppers, salt and vinegar, while the crushed mash ages and ferments in used oak barrels for up to three years.

In the flavour profile, pepper and vinegar take the front seat. Absolut Tabasco shows distinct notes of ripening chilli and vinegar with an underlying sweetness. Every sip is a vodka of smooth character with building spiciness, leaving a warm, lingering tingle on the lips. The vodka contains no added sugar and delivers a clean taste with a gradual, warming heat that lifts cocktails without dominating them. Like the original Absolut, the product is gluten-free.

In terms of use, Absolut Tabasco was designed with spicy cocktails in mind. It works well as a shot and in spicy cocktails such as the Spicy Bloody Mary, Spicy Vodkarita and Spicy Lemonade. The canonical composition is one part Absolut Tabasco, three parts tomato juice, five dashes of Worcestershire sauce, half a part lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper. The bottle's shape brings both brands together: its colours and diamond label reference TABASCO sauce, while the apothecary silhouette is recognisably Absolut.
