Supplying wine and spirits is just the beginning of our cooperation with restaurants. What happens afterwards is equally important – so that the venue's team feels comfortable telling guests about what they serve and accurately pairs drinks with dishes.
That is why we regularly run training sessions for our partners in the HoReCa industry. We share knowledge about products, regions, styles and nuances that can change the way a glass reaches a guest. Because a well-guided guest comes back – and comes back for more.
One of them took place recently – this time at Restauracja Abruzzo. The training was led by Jerzy Kruk, Director for the HoReCa Market at M&P Pavlina, Poland's representative at the World Sommelier Championships and a Board Member of the Polish Sommelier Association.
We focused on products from the M&P portfolio that the restaurant has in its offer. The lecture part smoothly transitioned into a tasting – because the best way to talk about flavour is with a glass in hand. The team learned the stories behind individual bottles, the characteristics of the regions they come from, and tips on how to talk about them to guests at the table.
Such meetings are for us one of the most enjoyable elements of cooperation with our partners. It is the moment when the product knowledge we have on the M&P side meets the everyday practice of a restaurant – and both sides come out of it richer.
