Luciana Gaido visited Poland to lead a series of tasting sessions. She told participants about the region, climate and people behind Pascual Toso wines, and together with participants discovered how a well-matched pairing of wine with food can surprise. Dinner at "Na Skrajnej" restaurant The dinner menu was composed so that each dish would bring out something different from Pascual Toso wines. We tried different wine styles: from light, refreshing whites, through full reds to sweet chenin dulce with dessert. The cuisine at "Na Skrajnej" rose to the occasion, and the wine pairings were no accident. Food pairing works when we understand why a given wine matches a given dish, and that evening it was visible on the plates. Training for Whisky & Cognac Club advisors The club transformed for one evening into a training room, and one where you want to stay. Our advisors worked directly with the wines, asked questions and gained knowledge that is hard to obtain from product sheets. Such training translates directly into the quality of recommendations in the salons. Such visits give us something more than knowledge of a given producer's wine offering. They give context, history, a relationship straight from the vineyard and are an unrepeatable experience.
