Wojski is a Polish plain blended vodka with an ABV of 40%, produced by Grupa AWW – one of the leaders of the domestic economy segment of vodkas and rectified spirits. It is made from a blend of rye, wheat and a small amount of corn, and filtration is carried out using a platinum cartridge.
Behind the brand stands a company with a long distilling history. The founder of the enterprise is Wiesław Wawrzyniak, who began his adventure with spirits in 1991 with the wholesale of wines and vodkas, and in 1999 invested in three agricultural distilleries, later modernised, in Tursko, Borowiec and Lubczyna. In 2003 he opened his own plant for the rectification and dehydration of spirit, and he also owns farmland, so nearly all the ingredients used in production are his own. Wojski vodka is a relatively fresh addition to the portfolio – it has been produced by AWW since 2025.
The aromatic profile is dominated by a grainy character. The nose is fairly intense, elegant, sweet-tart and bready – a scent reminiscent of the crust of bread baked on a horseradish leaf. On the palate the vodka shows a distinct, slightly tannic structure. In the mouth it is light yet expressive, a little tart, acidic-tannic – bread crust, walnuts, the skins of tart apples, a delicate touch of vanilla, everything very nicely arranged.
The finish maintains a mineral-fruity direction. It is long, pleasant, mineral and tangy, with a hint of apples.
