Torres 15 Reserva Privada Imperial is an elegant Spanish brandy from the Penedès region of Catalonia, aged for 15 years using the traditional Solera method. Bottled in a 70 cl format, it comes from Vilafranca del Penedès near Barcelona, matures in American oak casks for 15 years, and has an ABV of 40%.

Behind the spirit stands the family winery Familia Torres. Miguel Torres, S.A. was previously known as Torres & Company Association; the company was founded in 1870 and is headquartered in Vilafranca del Penedès, Spain. This expression, Torres 15, is a tribute to Miguel Torres Carbó, who rebuilt the winery after it was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War.

Brandy is created through the distillation of wine and matures in American oak casks. Torres 15 is a Spanish brandy distilled in the traditional manner from white wine and then aged in American oak casks; Torres employs the Solera method to mature and blend its brandies. This dynamic Spanish system involves the gradual blending of distillates of differing ages and characters under the watchful eye of the master distiller.

In the glass it presents a mahogany colour with bright amber tones and topaz reflections. The aroma is dominated by notes of caramel, vanilla, dates and roasted hazelnuts. It is silky on the palate, with an elegant finish marked by accents of toffee and wood. The more detailed profile is rounded out by citrus and dried fruit: bright citrus and vanilla elements stand out among notes of dried fruits, while the palate reveals lemon peel and caramel, juicy sultanas, oily walnuts and a hint of sugared almonds.

Torres 15 works equally well neat, without any additions, after a meal, as it does in cocktails. It is modern and refined, remarkably polished, which gives it a unique character and great versatility in cocktails — perfect for classics such as an Old Fashioned as well as for more refreshing combinations like a Torres 15 Ginger Ale. For pairings, consider dark chocolate or mature Manchego cheese, which bring out the brandy's nutty and slightly sweet tones.
