Perricone to bardzo stara sycylijska odmiana, po raz pierwszy opisana w 1735 roku, charakteryzująca się intensywnym aromatem i sporą ilością tanin. W winnicy Regaleali winorośle tej odmiany zostały nasadzone w 1959 roku i zajmują tylko 2,5 ha przy 192 ha na całej wyspie. Wino dojrzewa w beczkach z dębu francuskiego (drugiego i trzeciego użycia) przez 12 miesięcy. Intensywna, ciemnoczerwona barwa. Aromat dojrzałych ciemnych owoców, ziemi, nuty mleczne i balsamiczne. W ustach pełne, intensywne i głębokie, z miękką taniną i sporą owocowością. Idealne do steków, jagnięciny, parmigiana di melanzane, makaronów z ostrą kiełbasą i cięższych potraw.
