SALITOS Silver Tequila is an unaged tequila blanco from the Mexican region of Jalisco, produced from blue Weber agave. This original tequila, based on the first SALITOS flavoured beer recipe, has been available in gold and silver variants since the summer of 2019. The brand belongs to the German company MBG International Premium Brands from Paderborn.

The distillate is based on a single raw material – blue Weber agave from the Jalisco region. The agave matures for a full 8 years, as opposed to the traditional 6, before being selected by the master distiller and roasted in a stone oven. The spirit is created through a slow, open fermentation process using agave matured for eight years. As a blanco, the silver variant remains unaged, which is why it retains its crystal-clear colour and the fresh, pure character of agave.

The sensory profile is dominated by agave interwoven with citrus accents. On the nose and palate you will find lemon peel and the vegetal freshness of agave, herbal peppermint and a note of honey and white pepper. The structure is light, and the finish closes with a gentle peppery touch and lingering freshness.

This is a versatile tequila. It works well chilled, paired with lime and salt, and also as a base for classic cocktails such as the Margarita, Tequila Sunrise or Paloma. The producer states an ABV of 38%.
