Prohibicja Wódka Czysta Ziemniaczana is a Polish craft vodka from the Prohibicja line, a brand belonging to Manufaktura Wódki, distinguished by its potato spirit base. The bottle contains 40% alcohol in a 0.5 litre volume.

Manufaktura Wódki has been in operation since 2018, and its founders draw on pre-war distilling traditions. Hence the styling of the bottles and the name of the spirits line, Prohibicja 1920. The shape of the bottle harks back to the interwar period.

The vodka is based on potato raw material sourced in Poland. Production uses Polish potato spirit from an agricultural distillery. Made according to a traditional recipe using craft methods – multiple distillation with the use of charcoal – it is bottled in an elegant bottle created especially for the Prohibicja brand. The producer itself describes the profile of the spirit as dry.

In the sensory profile, the foreground is taken by the vegetal character typical of potato distillates. In the assessment of the industry portal spirits.com.pl, the aroma is vegetal, gently venturing into registers of horseradish, pickles and starch. On the palate, the taste is sweet, with a note of crispy, slightly charred potatoes baked in a campfire. The finish is tart-sweet, mineral, still very potato-driven.
