Pravda is a Polish rye vodka from the south of the country, produced from late-harvest rye and spring water from the Carpathian region. The 0.7 litre version in a black carton is presented in gift packaging.
The distillate is based on Polish rye from the so-called late, "sweet" harvest. Pravda is a five-times distilled vodka from southern Poland, made with spring water and sweet late-harvest rye sourced from the slopes of the Carpathians. The water used in production comes from Carpathian springs and is gently filtered.
The production process combines column distillation with a final redistillation in a copper pot still. Pravda is distilled from Polish rye, subjected to fivefold column distillation and then placed in a copper pot still for a final distillation; the water from Carpathian springs is gently filtered, and the vodka itself is filtered through charcoal obtained from French birch. After five-stage column distillation, Pravda is redistilled in a copper pot still, which gives the spirit a smoother character.
The flavour profile is dominated by a grainy character with a light sweetness derived from the rye. The vodka is distilled five times, making it smooth and clean; distillation removes impurities, leaving a pure and crisp distillate, while the late-harvest rye delivers a sweet and complex taste. Bottled at 40% ABV. Serve chilled, neat, or as a cocktail base.
