Polowaca Żurawinówka Góralska is a Polish cranberry liqueur from the Polowaca brand, produced by Toorank Polska, with an ABV of 32% and a capacity of 0.5 litre. The name and highlander styling are registered elements of this line – the parzenica ornament and the trombita horn on the label emphasise the highlander character of the spirit, while the rosette, the figure with the trombita and the Polowaca name are legally protected trademarks.
At its foundation lies a pure spirit base. Żurawinówka Góralska Polowaca is a cranberry liqueur made exclusively from the highest quality, five-times distilled grain alcohol and flavour components. The producer classifies the product within its cordial-and-liqueur line – żurawinówka is a traditional vodka made from cranberries for generations.
The fruit dominates the profile. The producer describes the taste and aroma as sweet and cranberry-like. This is a delicately sweetened liqueur in which the tartness of cranberries is set against sweetness – hence its rounded, fruity character. It is worth bearing in mind the nature of the product: due to the presence of natural ingredients, sediment may form.
The bottle can be served chilled, in a small glass, as a fruity accent to cheeses or desserts, and can also be used as an ingredient in simple cocktails. The 32% ABV places it below classic 40% vodkas, making it a milder, fruity option within the segment of Polish regional liqueurs.
