Miodula Espresso is a Polish coffee liqueur with an ABV of 30%, created by combining the Original Aged Miodula Prezydencka with Italian coffee. The Miodula brand hails from Cieszyn Silesia – it is a spirit made from natural honeydew honey, water from the Beskid Mountains and carefully selected oak casks. It is produced by the Mundivie company from Jasienica near Bielsko-Biała.
The base here is the aged Miodula Prezydencka, to which coffee has been added. It is a thick liqueur with an alcohol content of 30%, created on the basis of the classic Miodula Prezydencka with the addition of cold-brewed Italian coffee. It is a natural product containing honey originating from the process of ageing in casks previously used for Miodula Prezydencka. Due to the presence of honey and coffee, a natural sediment may appear in the bottle, which is why it is worth shaking it gently before serving.
In the glass it presents itself as a liqueur of dark caramel colour, with a perceptible note of oak cask, essential coffee and vanilla on the nose. The palate is marked by coffee, creamy and sweet notes, with oak also discernible, while the texture remains rich, oily and smooth. The long finish brings to mind the taste of hot chocolate with a dash of cream.
The producer recommends it with desserts, served with an ice cube and coffee beans. The suggested serve is a cocktail glass with ice and two coffee beans. It also works well as an ingredient in coffee cocktails and as an addition to cakes and chocolate desserts.
