Millhill's Strawberry Fields is a Polish flavoured gin from the Stock Polska portfolio, in which the classic London Dry recipe meets the natural aroma of ripe strawberries. Strawberry Fields is one of three variants of the Millhill's brand, alongside the classic London Dry Gin and Pineapple Breeze. Bottled at 38% ABV, in a 0.7 litre format.
The brand was created as a tribute to the London district of Mill Hill. The inspiration behind the brand was the energy of one of London's neighbourhoods – Mill Hill – and the echoes of its history; it is a vibrant district, home to the astronomical observatory of the University of London, which each day explores new, hitherto unknown regions of the universe. The base spirit is derived from triticale and corn. The product stands out for its attention to purity: Millhill's is distinguished by greater clarity thanks to cold filtration, during which the spirit is chilled to a temperature of -6 to -7 degrees Celsius, ultimately yielding a crystal-clear drink.
The foundation of the flavour remains the botanical composition of the classic Millhill's. It is distinguished by a perfectly harmonised blend of juniper, coriander, lemon balm, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, lemon peel and three secret ingredients. In the Strawberry Fields variant, this base has been enriched with a note of strawberries. This is a strawberry-flavoured gin with aromatic berry fruit and delicate notes of summer fruits on the nose, bringing to mind creamy berry sweets. At the same time, the profile is light and approachable – delicate, fruity and slightly sweet, with an aroma evoking summer strawberry fields.
When it comes to serving, Strawberry Fields works well both neat and as a cocktail base. The gin is excellent served on its own – simply over ice – as well as with mixers, blended into cocktails; it pairs perfectly with tonic water, orange slices and lemon balm leaves. It is a proposition for warm days and evenings, when we are looking for a refreshing, fruity drink with character.
A collector's touch is also worth mentioning: the product's unique design – illustrated elements of the botanical ingredients and the graphic of a mysterious garden on the back of the bottle – gives the packaging a three-dimensional sense of depth, so that the gin not only stands out on the shelf, but also makes an excellent gift.
