Jest uznawane za młodszego brata Barolo - posiada podobny charakter, jest jednak nieco lżejsze. Przyjemny i delikatny bukiet z dominującymi nutkami maliny i fiołka. W ustach jest eleganckie, pełne i bardzo dobrze wyważone. Wyśmienite wino idealne na każdą okazję. Poleca się zdekantować przed podaniem i serwować w temperaturze 18-20°C.
