Kerner jest krzyżówką odmian Trollinger i Riesling, która powstała w 1929 roku. Wino to powstało w 100% z tej odmiany porastającej wapienne gleby regionu. Starannie selekcjonowane grona zostały poddane fermentacji w kadziach z kilkumiesięcznym okresem dojrzewania wina na osadzie. W barwie jest słomkowe, zapach wypełniają aromaty brzoskwiń, jabłek, cytryn i żółtych śliwek z zielnymi nutami. Na podniebieniu owocowy posmak i początkowa słodycz są równoważone przez rześką mineralność. Polecane na aperitif i do swobodnego popijania, sprawdzi się z sushi, pikantną kuchnią azjatycką, z serowym sufletem, sandaczem z brokułami, kurczakiem z czosnkiem i z tartą cebulową.
