Nazwa tego Premier Cru pochodzi od łacińskiego słowa „vallis”, co oznacza „mała dolina”. Wino to pochodzi z połączenia kilku parceli wzgórza „Vaillons”, głównie Epinottes”, gdzie gleba zawiera dużą ilość gliny. Połączenie kilku działek o zróżnicowanej topografii oddaje winu dużą złożonością aromatyczną. 90% wina dojrzewało w kadziach ze stali nierdzewnej, pozostała część przez 10 miesięcy w beczkach dębowych. Bukiet wyrazisty, pachnący kwiatami i świeżymi owocami. Na podniebieniu pełne i pikantne, charakteryzujące się idealną równowagą. Długi, smakowity finisz.
