Bumbu Cream is a rum-based liqueur bottled at 15% ABV, created from a blend of Caribbean rum, spices and dairy cream. Bumbu Cream is a liqueur resulting from the marriage of Panamanian rum, exotic spices and rich dairy cream, produced entirely in Panama.
The Bumbu brand belongs to the Sovereign Brands portfolio, and its rum base draws on Caribbean tradition. The flagship rum is distilled and blended in Barbados, the cradle of rum, where this spirit was first created over 400 years ago. Bumbu Cream itself shares that same heritage, built on rum combined with Caribbean spices and real dairy cream. It is a rum cream with a deep, complex range of aromas encompassing chai, coconut and cinnamon — a blend of sweetness, spice and cream.
In the glass it shows a creamy colour with a golden sheen. The nose reveals cream, coconut, caramel, vanilla and hints of oak. On the palate it is round and creamy, with notes of chai, coconut and cinnamon along with accents of chocolate and banana. The finish is long, silky and sweet. This is a dessert-style profile in which the cream softens the spicy, tropical side of the rum.
Bumbu Cream is served chilled, neat or over ice, and also works well as a cocktail ingredient. It makes a fine addition to dessert cocktails, such as a Baileys White Russian or a Creamy Rum Coffee. It can also be paired with chocolate desserts such as tiramisu, chocolate mousse or panna cotta. Due to its real cream content, once opened the liqueur should be kept refrigerated and consumed within a reasonable time.
