Belvedere 10 is a luxury rye vodka from the Polish distillery Polmos Żyrardów, created from a single annual harvest of one rye variety. It is inspired by the brand's roots and a distillation recipe from 1910, and is made from a single annual harvest of organic Dankowskie Diamond rye from one specific field in Poland. The name "10" refers both to that date and to the production process itself.
The philosophy behind this vodka rests on maximum uniformity in the origin of the raw material. The pursuit of precision led Belvedere's distillers to pinpoint the finest ingredients, conditions and production processes: one rye, one farm, one field, one harvest. The distillery lies on the edge of the Mazovian Lowland — a vast, flat region west of Warsaw, where the Dańkowskie Złote variety has been cultivated and cross-bred over centuries to thrive in the fertile soil.
The vodka undergoes a meticulous ten-stage creation process, including quadruple distillation and ten months of resting, which marries the flavours and enhances its velvety smoothness on the palate. This period of rest is what sets Belvedere 10 apart from the standard vodkas in the brand's portfolio. Belvedere is a super-premium vodka made from certified organic Polish rye and purified water, distilled over fire, using exclusively natural ingredients with no synthetic fertilisers, artificial pesticides, additives or chemicals.
The aromatic profile is led by dessert notes with a distinct hint of citrus. Multi-layered aromas of coconut, cocoa and vanilla are complemented by an accent of fresh lemon. On the palate the vodka is creamy and full. Belvedere 10 delivers a creamy, full body with notes of vanilla, coconut water, lemon zest, honey and dark cocoa, while the finish is long and mineral, with a smooth, clean texture. It is bottled at 40%, corresponding to the standard strength for vodka.
Its tasting character means Belvedere 10 stands up well to being drunk neat. The resting period and single distillation make it a vodka worth serving neat or lightly chilled to appreciate the full breadth of flavour, while a single large ice cube opens up the creamy notes of coconut and honey without diluting it. In the kitchen it comes into its own alongside dishes with a bold structure. Good pairings include smoked salmon or cured fish, whose richness is cut by the vodka's mineral finish, dark chocolate truffles that harmonise with the cocoa and praline notes, mature hard cheeses such as Gouda or Manchego, and oysters, accompanied by the spirit's delicate salinity.
