ARARAT 5 Stars is a classic Armenian brandy made from grape distillates, prized for its bright, full character and approachability. It is one of the most recognisable expressions in the brand's portfolio — the five-year-old ARARAT brandy is a classic representative of the ARARAT range, and special brandy distillates are used for this blend, giving it a bright character and fullness of flavour.
The brand is created by the Yerevan Brandy Company, one of the pillars of Armenian distilling tradition. The Yerevan Brandy Factory has been producing brandy under the ARARAT name since 1887. Distilled from grapes, this brandy has matured in oak casks for at least 5 years and is brought to strength using local spring water. The distillery's master blenders use distillates created exclusively from Armenian grapes. The spirit is bottled at 40%.
In the glass it shows amber. An amber colour with a noble, golden sheen — it looks as though the rays of the sun have been captured within it. On the nose and palate, notes of sweetness and warm spices dominate — a bright profile with tones of caramel, toffee and hints of fresh, home-baked bread, along with sweet peaches and plums complemented by accents of vanilla and cinnamon.
When it comes to serving, ARARAT 5 Stars is versatile. This traditional five-year-old Armenian ARARAT brandy can accompany a festive meal or a quiet conversation among friends; it works excellently both neat, without any additions, and in cocktails. It pairs well with desserts based on dark chocolate and dried fruits, and after a meal it comes into its own as a digestif.
