Italy: from Sicily to Tuscany

The most happened around Tasca d'Almerita. We tasted the Sicilian wines of this estate in as many as five M&P shops: Marki, Wielicka, Gdańsk Stary Rynek, Białystok Transportowa and Warszawa Arkuszowa. The glasses featured whites made from the grillo, catarratto and inzolia grapes as well as reds from nero d'avola, including the flagship Tenuta Rosso del Conte.

From Sicily we moved on to Tuscany. In the M&P Katowice Raciborska and Marina Mokotów shops we tasted the wines of Caparzo, an estate from the heart of Montalcino – from young sangiovese to mature brunello. At the M&P Gdańsk Rajska shop we in turn reached for wines from Marche, a region still called the hidden treasure of Italy, known for white wines made from the pecorino, passerina and verdicchio grapes.

From across the ocean: Galicia and New Zealand

Beyond Italy we focused on fresh, dry wines from across the ocean. We tasted the Spanish albariño from Paco & Lola and the New Zealand Babich in four M&P shops: Obrzeżna, Piaseczno, Wielicka and Ostroroga. The meeting at the M&P Obrzeżna shop was conducted entirely in Russian.

France from A to Z

At the M&P Wrocław Piękna shop we led the „ABC of France” – a cross-section tasting that included Champagne, Chablis, Sancerre, Bordeaux and sweet wines from the Garonne.

Bubbles and an evening without labels

At the M&P Ursynów Rosoła shop we focused on sparkling wines – prosecco, cava and Champagne. At the M&P Radzymin Reymonta shop, meanwhile, a blind tasting took place, during which only what was in the glass mattered, without any hints from the label.

Whisky novelties

At the M&P Wesoła shop Mariusz Masiak presented whisky novelties – Scotch single malts: Benromach, the aged MacPhail's 21 YO and the smoky Mac-Talla.

Zen & Smoke: cigars and Japan

To finish, we invited our guests not to a shop, but to the Warsaw restaurant Hanashi Sushi & Teppanyaki. In an intimate gathering we hosted the „Zen & Smoke” evening: Arturo Fuente cigars accompanied by Japanese spirits – gin and whisky – along with a matching Japanese cuisine menu.
