Discover the red wines of Burgundy and the secrets of pinot noir. An evening where history, geography and taste meet in every glass.
We invite you to a tasting dedicated to the red wines of Burgundy – a region that has set the standards for one of the world's most noble grape varieties for centuries: pinot noir.
During the meeting we will travel to the heart of French winemaking, where a wine's character is determined not only by the winemaker's skill, but above all by the place from which it comes. We will tell the story of Burgundy – from the medieval Cistercian and Benedictine monasteries, which for centuries observed the differences between individual parcels, to the birth of the concept of terroir and the exceptional classification of Burgundian vineyards.
We will discuss why small differences in soil, exposure or location can create wines of a completely different character, and how the complicated division of ownership made Burgundy one of the most fascinating, yet also most demanding, wine regions in the world.
In the glasses there will be carefully selected red Burgundies, which will allow you to discover the diverse faces of pinot noir – from subtle wines full of freshness to more complex and long-lived ones. It will be an opportunity to see why Burgundy has inspired successive generations of wine lovers for centuries and remains a point of reference for producers around the world.
We invite you to an evening where history, geography and taste meet in every glass.
The tasting will be led by Michał Żuber
