Auctions are a separate part of our offer, available in the Auctions tab. Each auction concerns a specific bottle or set, starts at an opening price and runs for the period given in the listing. Unlike the rest of our range, auction items cannot be reserved or bought in store at a fixed price – bidding is the only way to purchase them.
The bottles put up for auction come from M&P's own resources, including:
– single casks, i.e. spirits from individual casks selected by our team and bottled in limited runs
– special editions connected with our events
– sought-after collector's releases
– sets and archive bottles from our own imports.
The entire process takes place on wina-mp.pl.
Only persons of legal age with an active account may take part in the auctions. Bidding is possible after logging in to your account.
The first bid must be at least equal to the opening price, and each subsequent one must exceed the current highest bid by at least one increment, i.e. the raise amount stated for the given auction (e.g. PLN 25, 50 or 100, depending on the value of the item).
The auction page shows the current price and the bidding history, and participants are presented under masked aliases – no personal data is publicly visible. You can also set up a free e-mail reminder for the day before the auction ends.
The auction closes at the time given in the listing. If extended bidding is enabled, a bid placed within the last three minutes extends the auction by another three minutes – until a winner emerges.
The auction ends with the fall of the hammer, i.e. confirmation of the result. We provide it within 24 hours on business days after the auction closes. Upon the fall of the hammer, a contract of sale is concluded and the highest bid becomes the purchase price.
After the fall of the hammer, our sales department will contact you about the method of payment – the standard deadline is two business days from the arrangements made.
You can collect the bottle in person at any M&P Alkohole Wina Cygara store or order courier delivery – details below.
Important: placing a bid is binding. If the auction ends with your highest bid and we confirm it with the fall of the hammer, you are obliged to pay the amount bid.
Taking part in an auction is free of charge – you pay only if you win, and only the amount you bid. The purchase price is not subject to reduction by discount codes or special offers. The only possible additional cost is courier delivery, if you choose delivery to a given address instead of free personal collection.
Once the purchase price has been paid, you have two options:
Personal collection at an M&P store – free of charge. On release we verify that you are of legal age, so please bring an identity document with you.
Courier delivery – available within Poland only. The courier collects the bottle from the store as your proxy. On delivery, the courier checks that the recipient is of legal age.
Persons living abroad may only collect the auction item in person in Poland – we do not ship alcohol outside the country.
Some of the auction items are archive spirits that have spent many years in the bottle. The natural consequences of the passage of time – sediment, a lowered liquid level (so-called ullage) or a change of colour – are not product defects. These are normal features of older vintages, well known to collectors of spirits.
The condition of the label, capsule and packaging is documented in the photographs in the listing, so it is worth examining them carefully before placing a bid. If you have questions about a particular bottle, contact us via our Contact form.
You will find current auctions in the Auctions tab – that is where all new items appear.
Who can take part in an auction?
