Krupnik Advocat Kawowy is a Polish egg liqueur with a pronounced coffee accent, bottled in a 0.5-litre format at 16% ABV. The product belongs to the portfolio of the Krupnik brand, run by United Beverages – it is the coffee variant of the classic advocaat, enriched with notes of roasted coffee.
The liqueur is made from a base of spirit, cream, hen's egg yolks and arabica coffee beans. The combination of natural yolks, cream and coffee gives the drink a creamy consistency and the aroma of freshly roasted arabica beans. The recipe fits the brand's tradition: Krupnik is a brand whose roots reach back to the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, when the name Krupnik was given to a spirit drink based on honey and carefully selected herbs and spices.
In the glass it shows a dark brown hue. Krupnik Advokat Kawowy is sweet and thick, with a creamy consistency, a dark brown colour and an egg-and-coffee flavour. The combination of creamy sweetness with coffee bitterness creates a balanced composition that works well on its own, as an addition to coffee or ice cream, and also as a base for drinks and cocktails. In the aromatic profile, coffee takes the foreground, broken up by the sweetness of yolks and cream, while the finish closes with a coffee-and-cream aftertaste.
Serve chilled. Best served at 6–8°C in liqueur glasses. It pairs well with chocolate desserts, ice cream and baked goods, and also works as an ingredient in creamy coffee cocktails.
