Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition is a Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Highlands, bottled at 46.5% ABV, created as a limited edition born of the distillery's collaboration with actor Harrison Ford. The recipe combines classic Glenmorangie matured in ex-bourbon casks with a parcel of whisky finished in charred Portuguese ex-red wine casks.
The whisky was created in collaboration with Glenmorangie's Director of Whisky Creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, after many months of tasting and refining the recipe between the two. Ford first encountered the distillery while filming the Once Upon a Time in Scotland campaign directed by Joel Edgerton, which launched in 2025. Lumsden and master blender Gillian Macdonald prepared hundreds of Glenmorangie samples ahead of meeting the actor, and after the first day of shooting the pair began developing further recipes for the Harrison Ford edition. The whisky is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46.5% ABV.
The profile blends the house's signature elegance with a more pronounced structure. The nose opens with ruby grapefruit, orange oils, perfumed floral notes, dried stone fruit, rose Turkish Delight, tart cranberry and marzipan. The producer also points to notes of citrus, muscovado sugar, apricot and butterscotch, with orange oil, leather and oak tannin on the finish. Lumsden describes Glenmorangie's characteristic notes of honeysuckle, citrus and buttery softness, balanced by a marmalade edge and perceptible tannins.
The pairing of classic ex-bourbon casks with the tartness and structure of charred Portuguese ex-red wine casks gives the whisky the "bite" mentioned by its creators – a more pronounced edge on the palate. This is the trait Ford was looking for in this edition, setting it apart from the softer, more citrus-driven expressions in the distillery's core range.
