Luis the Marinero – ready-to-drink Spanish sangria for summer 2026

Luis the Marinero is a ready-to-drink sangria from the Spanish winery Bodegas Valdepablo, available in three versions: red, white and rosé. It's our summer novelty, which has everything it needs to become the hit of the season: it's fruity, refreshing and requires no preparation whatsoever.

What is sangria?

Sangria is a traditional Spanish drink made with wine and the addition of fruit. Anyone who has ever spent a holiday on the coast of the Iberian Peninsula has probably seen dozens of pitchers of such "homemade" sangria in the local restaurants. It's a piece of Spanish tradition and summer carefree spirit.

Is sangria made only with red wine?

No. Classic sangria is made with red wine, but today it is also made with white and rosé wines. Sangria can also be bought ready to drink — a convenient option for a picnic, for example.

Luis the Marinero – sangria from Bodegas Valdepablo

Luis the Marinero is a brand of the Spanish winery Bodegas Valdepablo, founded in 1928. The brand was created in tribute to the winery's history and the work of previous generations, with a reference to the sea and summer. It's a 100% Spanish sangria, made with wines produced in the traditional way and with care at every stage – from the vine to bottling.

Three types of Luis the Marinero sangria

We offer three variants:

Red – the most traditional, with a ruby colour. The aroma features blackberries, blueberries and cherries, with delicate citrus notes and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate it is mild, sweet and full, with a refreshing aftertaste.
White – made with a fresh, fruity white wine with a clean, citrusy aroma. In the glass, citrus and tropical notes, a refreshing taste with a distinct finish.
Rosé – with a delicate, light pink colour and a fresh bouquet with notes of citrus, strawberry and raspberry. On the palate it is fresh and slightly sparkling, with a pleasant aftertaste.
