End of the World Fin del Mundo (Bodega del Fin del Mundo) is the largest winery in Argentine Patagonia, producing wines since 2002. The vineyards are located in San Patricio del Chañar in Neuquén province — one of the southernmost wine-growing locations in the world. The winery belongs to the Eurnekian family and is managed by Juliana Del Aguila Eurnekian, representing the next generation of the family. Patagonia — wine from the end of the world The estate covers over 850 hectares of vineyards, and production is based exclusively on estate-grown grapes. Growing conditions here are extreme — a continental climate with long, sunny days, cool nights, and strong, constant winds. Over the years, these winds have forced the vines to develop thicker grape skins, which translates into wines with intense color and distinctive aroma. The dry climate with minimal rainfall reduces the risk of disease, allowing cultivation with minimal intervention. The dominant red variety is Malbec — as in other regions of Argentina. However, what distinguishes Patagonia is Pinot Noir — a variety for which the cooler climate of the south has proven particularly favorable. Fin del Mundo is one of the largest producers of Pinot Noir in Argentina. Fin del Mundo wine lines The winery offers a wide portfolio — from young, fruity everyday wines to complex, oak-aged editions from single vineyards. Notable brands include Postales del Fin del Mundo (fresh, unoaked wines), FIN Single Vineyards (single-plot wines), and Ventus.
